So you may notice this blog comes over halfway through the month, for a retrospect of last month.
There is a reason for that. Call it about 160 working hours in the month so far, and then a professional exam that I had to study for and write in between that.

Today will be the first of three blogs. I think I'm going to try a 'State of the Author' and 'State of the Reader' blog each month from now on until my whimsy flags off. State of the Author should be fairly obvious. State of the Reader will be more about the FIMfics I've read, and attempting to compile a word count read. I'm doing quite good. I'm a full-time teacher these days, and that eats up a lot of my time. Between that, editing work, a healthy long-distance relationship, and D&D, I'm quite busy.

Perhaps I'm not as dead as I thought. I'll try to have something out by Halloween, maybe "Antecessor" or "Scentless." Something dark.
Summer time here in New England, and I couldn't be gladder for it. Granted, I don't have a ton of free time, what with work and family commitments and that sort of thing...
But.
I'm writing again. Finally.
I'm not sure when I'll get anything out, but I'm doing a rewrite of an old story of mine, originally written for the October 2014 Writeoff, reworking and extending it for posting on Fimfiction, so I'll hopefully have that out sometime this summer.
So, it’s been a big couple of months for me. Prepare for long posts.
I am very tired. I have been for a few weeks. I'll just leave the explanation at that.
It's been hard to do much of anything for me recently. But I'm working on finishing something old, starting something new, and editing something long overdue. I expect all three of those to be done with by the end of the month, partially because I promised one of those would be.
